Welcome to the website of the Resident Card Application Centre in ABIDJAN. This website provides useful information to prepare, submit then track your application. The National Identification Office (N.I.O.) has sole jurisdiction to issue resident cards to non-ECOWAS nationals residing in IVORY COAST. Hence all the information on this website has been endorsed by the N.I.O

  • The application center for the resident card changes location as of June 08, 2021, the new site is at the following address:

    VFS Côte d'Ivoire, Residents Card Application Center - ONECI, near Residence Bertille, 2 Plateaux, Vallons

    The current center will be closed to the public from Friday 04 June 2021

    The new center will be open to the public from Tuesday 08 June 2021 at 8 a.m.

PROCEDURE to follow to apply for a resident card

STEP 1: « PREPARE YOUR RESIDENT CARD APPLICATION »:

STEP 1 will indicate you what documents are required to apply for a resident and how much it costs.

STEP 2: « SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION » when you are ready:

STEP 2 will inform you on the procedure to be followed to submit your application at the Resident Card Application Centre (RCAC) and which optional services may be available.

Note: the processing time of resident card applications at the ONI is 15 working days for a first application, and 7 working days for renewals

Note2: Processing time can vary during peak periods. Kindly take that into account before submitting your application

STEP 3: « COLLECT YOUR RESIDENT CARD » After you have submitted your application

STEP 3 will inform you on how to confirm whether your resident card is ready after being processed at the National Identification Centre (N.I.O.) and how to collect it at the Application center.
